Pixar's "Soul" is about a jazz pianist who has a near-death experience and gets stuck in the afterlife, contemplating his choices and regretting the existence that he mostly took for granted. On October 8, Disney confirmed that Soul would skip theatres and be released straight to Disney+ on Christmas Day, becoming the first Pixar movie to debut on the streaming service.
Pixar’s Soul garnered all positive reviews everywhere. Soul gathered a score of 95% on Rotten Tomatoes with being “Certified Fresh” and a rating of 8.2 on IMDB.
Soul is directed by Pete Docter and Kemp Powers and stars Jaime Foxx as Joe Gardner and Tina Fey as 22.
