Wonder Woman 1984 is the follow-up to 2017’s hit DC Comics movie and while it doesn’t quite recapture that same magic in every way, it is very much its own inspirational journey with abundant messages of triumph and hope -- just when we need such themes in the world. It also has had a big opening weekend hitting (relatively) big numbers at the box office, big streaming numbers, and even opened at 88% on Rotten Tomatoes before dropping to 63% after its release.
While the movie was overall positively reviewed even after the drop, the sudden change of the score and loss of the “Certified fresh” status certainly made waves. As of writing this article wonder woman 1984 stands at 61% with 352 reviews and an audience score of 74% with 2,184 verified ratings on the review aggregator site.
The film has also managed to gross more than $100 million worldwide according to warner bros. A third wonder woman has also been green-lit and is being fast-tracked at warner bros with director Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot set to return.
